TV Instructions?

I have a 57 inch sony flat screen HD TV and i have this thing where it becomes split screen but I cant get two different channels to play at the same time if you can help me with figuring this out i would really appreciate it

call the SONY help/tech support line -- they are very good (they don't talk in hard-to-understand tech terms) and they're FREE!!

Many newer televisions do not allow split screens of the same input.  They will only allow two separate inputs at one time.  Like if you were playing a video game on input X then you could also watch your cable on input Y.
