Question:

TV color look different from different angles ?

I bought Sanyo LCD TV and checked for the colors in the store before purchasing everything looked fine. I brought it home and set it up on my mantle and now its weird. The colors change with the change in the angle. If I am seating the sofa and the colors ar adjusted from there, all is well. But if I stand up or set on the floor to watch the TV the colors look totally different from what I set before. From the floor most of the picture appears dark.

Whats wrong? I went back to the store and checked the same model from different angles, it was alright. Anyone?

  1. Try adjusting the tilt of the television within your viewing area to improve the picture. If this is not available with your set you can purchase a bracket that will tilt. If still not satisfied complain to the retailer and exchange.

Why the thumbs down? It's a fact brackets do tilt to improve viewing. Just because you are level 2 or above doesn't make you an expert.

  2. LCDs have a limited viewing angle-especially in the up and down direction. Sets vary in their capabilities, but all of them exhibit the kind of effect you're seeing.

If you need the viewing angle you're describing-get a plasma.

  3. I agree that LCD tvs have a limited viewing angle and the best spot is usually directly in front. But you also might want to consider the ambient light in the room. Did the one in the store look better because the lighting was lower?
