So as I was watching TV one day a TV commercial had caught my attention. The ad was a about being tired of people coming in your home and spraying poisons around your house to kill cockroaches, rats, grasshoppers etc. and instead there was this device that I can't for the life of me remember what the name was, but it's something you plug-in and it somehow gets rid of those things without the use of chemicals. I was wondering what the name of this device was, I am curious how the device works? If it even works at all. Any help would be great!

  1. don't know the name of it but I would guess it emits some kind of sound that insects can hear but humans can't, thus keeping them away.

  2. they last about 3 years - I had several around the house - no spiders or bugs at all for 3 years , then they started again and I've not seen the gadgets on sale again. Mine cost about £1 each. I've seen some at £15 each but I am reluctant to pay that amount even though they do work.

Its called PEST CONTROL or something similar.... there are several brands now. I got mine from a QVC outlet store.

Yes, they work, but you need one on each wall, they work through the interior wiring. They are not good if you have pet hamsters etc and some cats don't like them.

Just found this link on the internet, but i'm sure you can them cheaper.

    Good Luck.

  3. it doesn't work it onlt gives you more on your electric bill

  4. They have been proven ineffective.

  5. Well, the important thing is that the TV commercial was on the TV.
