TV good or bad?

I asked this question already but it wasn't the answer i was looking for, but is what good or bad about tv either watching it or the influences it arises ?

Both.

There's good TV, entertaining, thought-provoking, informative; and there's garbage.

Unfortunately, more of the latter than the former.

Watching too much is unhealthy, expecially for kids, as watching is not exercise, and people tend to eat more when they watch a lot.

There's also the problem of getting a skewed view of the world.

For instance, TV news is really bad; it focuses on trivia, presents skewed ideas, and fails to give relevant background.

Bad about TV:

It's a passive activity that doesn't engage one in social interactive skill development nor does it foster physical skill development particularly for young children.  

Good about TV

There are educational programs that can be an introduction to world cultures, travel and self improvement.

i try to watch education things like animal planet or food network or discovery.

But I do not agree with evolutionary theory, so i just ignore it when the say things about that.

my daughter watches MTV shows and i don't like them because  those shows just teach you how to be a spoiled brat, or how to succeed in shallow careers like modeling.

its depend what you watching.. but yes it does effect on u... it could be as good way or bad way.. but does effect

TMO, watching TV is an effective way to keep you informed & updated. Too much though will sometimes expose violence, crimes...sometimes obscenity. So for young ones, parental guidance is needed.
