  1. if u have At&t or comcast or anything like tHAT CALL THEM RIGHT NOW AND TELL THEM THE PROBLEM sorry caplocks but yeah it works

  2. If you only have two white or black coax cables between the cable company connection or cable box and the VCR and TV -- Make sure the VCR is off.  The VCR could be on the wrong channel or could be providing a weaker signal than the cable when the VCR is on versus being off (bypassed).

If some other cable is between the cable box and the TV use that input instead of tuning to the VCR channel which is usually channel 3 or 4.

In other words choose the audio video input if a three wire RCA to RCA yellow, white and red cable is connected (black, white and red if using S-video).

If this is a HDTV with a HDMI input and you have that cable choose the HDMI input on the TV or in its menu.  If it has component and audio cables (5 RCA cables) choose the component input.

  3. Yes. Use the old remote to put your TV back on ch 3. Then your cable box or what ever should work again. Then when you are changing ch's it will be theirs and not the ones on your TV.
