TV on computer?

Hey guys I have a tv tuner card in my computer and recently I saw some sites like http://ezinearticles.com/?How-To-Watch-Satellite-TV-On-Computer-Through-Internet&id=735656 ... they look/sound pretty shady to me....I mean some say you pay 27 something dollars per month for about 2000 channels and some even that you pay an amount of money and then it's free for life....anyone tried it or know about it?

I have used software for satellite tv on pc,  With this you do not need a tuner card for your pc.  A couple of these sites work and I can get channels from anywhere.  one is called googlebox and the other I think is the tvu player,
