  1. Best Buy should have an adapter available.

  2. Several manufactures make a box called a Y/C trans-coder. This box will accept composite video and turn it into s-video also known as Y/C.

Kramer Electronics has a 401Dxl Composite To YC Decoder Switcher that may work for you.

I'd reconsider making an investment in your old set though. In about one year`that set will be no longer useful.

  3. I'd just get a Composite/S-Video AV switch.  These are about $20, and allow you to connect 4 devices using EITHER s-video or composite (RCA cables) video.  The  switch will also convert the signal, so even if you plug in a RCA device, the output can still be on the s-video port.

  4. http://www.Diablocable.com

    Call: 1-800-377-8402

They are so smart about this stuff and can answer your questions! They are great

  5. Most DVD players come with a SVideo output.

Radio Shack has a small Composite-to-SVideo adapter plug for about $18 that will fix the connection with the VCR.

They also sell switches that let you have multiple SVideo inputs feed the TV.

    Good Luck.
