Question:

TV reception interference from computer?

Every time my computer is switched on, I get horizontal squiggly lines across my tv screen. It's mainly on one particular channel (NBN 9 in NSW Australia) but my reception on other channels can still be affected.

Is there any way this can be stopped apart from turning the computer off?

  1. Yes, there is a way.  Move the computer or TV far enough to minimize the interference.  Computers produce what is called RFI/EMI.  Our TV is about 5 ft (1524mm) and is fine.  Moving it closer will produce interference.  Just as a test, move one or the other away about 2 meters and see what that does for you.

  2. Hi dear

    there may be reason the

cable wire is crossing near the computer.

It could be one of the reason that the frquency of the particular channels match with the frequency of computer scanning lines.

U keep the signal cable away from computer

Hope this will help u out
