TV recommendations? Size and brand.?

Question

I'm planning on buying a tv this weekend. My living room is 12 feet across. The tv on one wall at a bit of an angle because the couch is on the other wall a couple feet further down. I was thinking 42" LCD TV. Is that a good choice? And which brand to buy? I actually like 1040 resolution. People have opinions on if it makes a difference or not but by looking at the tvs in the store I do think that is better. I think I'm more concernred on finding the best brand. Thanks.

for that viewing distance, a 42 inch TV could be the answer, depending on the TV performance.

You might want to get a Full HD TV with 1080p capability as it is quite cheap compare to last time and it has the latest capability so that you can run Blu Ray Disc, Game consoles without any problem.

And you maybe get yourself another TV in 3 years time, why dont make it worth it?
