TV sound problems?

I have a 36 inch Toshiba tv and I just turned it on one day and the sound wasn't working. It is like all I can hear is bass and the sound is very muffled and very faint. It is like I am hearing the sound underwater, it is hard to explain. It is not the cable reception because I tried my xbox and the sound still doesnt work so it is my tv. What should I do?

all toshiba lcd 's are having sound problems just hook up surround sound speakers and that should work if still in warranty send it back in

a cheaper way is to use the rca jacks of ur stero and plug it into ur tv w/ the stero on the output and u should have sound. if ur still under warranty, i'd use that instead tho.
