TV tuner for windows xp?

Question

I have a lap top with windows xp with media center. I want to be able to watch TV from it. I was wondering what kind of TV tuner I should get. After buying a tv tuner are there any other steps that need to be taken. I have cable television at home, can I some how connect wirelessly and watch. I have linkys wireless 56g router that is not curretly in use. Please give me a step by step of what I need to do to be watching tv on my laptop. Thank you everybody that answers.
