The screen of my (conventional tube technology) TOSHIBA 36" TV, Model 36ZP46P frequently changes to brightly colored vertical lines, as if the tube's vertical amplifier suddenly & intermittently fails. The fault is intermittent in nature. It comes & goes regardless of whether it is showing a TV pic from its analogue built-in tuner or running a freeview pic from an external source. The TV sometimes switches itself to standby and puts on a green clock-like indicator on the front panel. I presume this is a service indicator. Is the fault I've described very common - perhaps with a known solution?
