TV with HD converter box + amplified antenna = better signals?

I've tried an amplified antenna to pick up analog channels here and it wasn't so great.

Will using an HD converter box, w/ antenna and the newly HD channels give much better reception than the old analog?

  1. Pat , I live in Orlando , have a digital plasma TV , also a powered antenna , i plug it in but leave the power off on the antenna and it will work better that way

  2. If the antenna was an indoor antenna that is most likely the problem.  Outdoor antennas work best.  Indoor antenna should only be used when outdoor is not allowed where you live or when you live really close to the transmitters (less than 20 miles).

If you live in the US you need the assistance of this site or similar sites to pick an antenna.  Ignore the colors and concetrate on the distances listed to the stations as well as the compass headings (North is 0 degrees).

  3. Oh yes ! Yes yes yes ! Ohhhh yeah!

    It sure will !

As long as that amp can actually pass digital signals it will work and get the signal to the converter box......

In Kleeno-Vision too! Yes.. Kleeno-vision, the NEW digitally enhanced way to keep your TV signal clean and fresh as a daisy....

TRY IT ....you'll like it !

(well no more 60's commercials come to mind, so enjoy your TV set)
