Please read through the played hand and comment/suggest what would have you done differently.

I'm sitting on 3-2 blind No-Limit table.

I'm the Big Blind with AK off-suit. two people limped in and the button mad small raise to $10 where small blind called. Maybe first mistake, I only called the raise where everyone stayed in for the flop.

Flop came: A-T-5 All Diamond where my King is heart. at this point I only had $80 where I checked with check raise in mind. Two people checked and the button (original raiser of $10) made it $40. Small blind folded and action is to me. I pushed all-in with my $80 where two others folded. Action is back to the original raiser and he called.

Turn was 5 and river was 3 diamond which made 4 diamonds on the board.

He had flopped the flush with 8, 9 diamonds which held up.

What would you have done diffrently? Should I have raised pre-flop? If so, how much? The original raiser had about $400 in chips and he is semi-tight palyer

  1. You  were short stacked.  You should have went all-in preflop.  Almost a no-brainer.  That's a pretty huge mistake because AKo plays best heads up preflop and terrible against multiple hands postflop, especially since you were out of position.  The only other option is to fold preflop if you thought the preflop raiser had a premium pocket pair.
