TYPE OF PAINT TO USE?

I have Alcoa aluminum siding that was originally painted with vinyl clad paint by Alcoa. I would like to repaint my house - what would be the best recomended paint for the job. Thanks Dave.

Check your warranty on the siding first. I believe it's a 35 year warranty and if you paint over it you will void the warranty. I know you can paint aluminum siding but I don't know about vinyl clad painted aluminum siding. Try going to their website or google painting vinyl clad aluminum siding.

sand and tack it really good, use an aluminum etching primer and if you can paint on a hot and sunny day(s) you can use just about any exterior house paint. If you can't find the etching primer, use exterior Killz.
