Ta-Aw bird - anybody heard of this?

Hi. Has anybody heard about this? This is a Filipino name of a bird (Bicol); I just don't know the English name. According to beliefs, everytime someone hears this bird croaking or chirping or whatever, someone in the neighborhood will die. Does anybody have any info about this bird - its English name, etc? I also would like to know when this bird can be seen and when its call can be heard (like, only at night or even during daytime?). Thanks so much!

I also don' t know, but I bet you could type in the "legend" about the deaths and stuff online, and perhaps something will show up. --
