Table Menu problems?

i am a part time waiter and am frustrated whenever a customer accidentally spills water on it. it's not waterproof and some small kids would fold it and meddle with it. how i wish the menu would be made of plastic

Laminate the menu!  A lot of restuarants do this now, it isn't that expensive.

Suggest it to your manager. You might even suggest laminating the menus that you have.

why be unset over the things you can not control... Do ya'll have a suggestion box? Why not print up coloring page w/ kids menu on the back? Sounds like you work in a family style restaurant.. Work the problem, don't let it work you.

who cares... you are a waiter... are you gonna slap your kid whenever your kid spills milk? you are there for money, and thats it... who cares about the menu's... you have too much pride in your job... : )

Let your employer know about a buying lamanating machine. They don't cost much. Tell him it will save him so much money and he's place will look so professional.

if you can afford it get the menus in wallets like in the posh cafes and give them out when customers come in and take them off them when they have ordered. Or have an enlarged one on the side of the wall.

why dont you ask your employer to laminate all the menu cards and also put instructions on a nice board that adults accompanying the kids must see to it that they dont mess up anything.
