Table sticky due to hot and humid California weather?

All throughout my Summers I try to play computer games but sometimes it gets so hot in my room that my table and my arm feel like their glued together, making it hard to move the mouse around. We don't use air conditioning, to cool the house we got 2 swamp coolers(i wouldn't say they cool my room though!), which I'm sure only makes the humidity worse.

The table is some wood/fake wood. How do I make my table stickyproof!? :(

Instead of trying to stickyproof the table, I would just put a dish towel where my arms will be resting. That is what I do and it works pretty good.

get some body powder, rub a little on you and the table. Walgreens sell a generic brand.
