Tachikara setter ball review?

anyone have the tachikara setter ball? if you do, is it helpful in your training or not really worth it? if this one stinks, could you recommend another brand?

  1. its really hevy u should just stick with working on uper body strength and then try the ball hope it helps

  2. It is way heavy, not for young players for sure.

    It is mainly designed to train your wrist, not to train your overall setting skill... but there is no other brand that I have seen so far, which seems to say it is not a good idea...

    I would recommend that you train your wrist in the weight room with a good coach, if you are old enough, in place of setter ball training. Please be careful with all kinds of weight (including the training ball, as you could get hurt if no coach is there giving you direction.

    You would have to work on your setting skill with real games anyway, and your overall skill also depends on your overall fitness that comes from gym/weight training. So why would you really need a setter ball?
