Tackle bags??

hi i play rugby, and im really keen to make a homemade tacklebag. i live far away from all my mates so i cant practise tackling them. got any ideas on what to use? or how to make one?? it can be basic too, anything helps. thanks

  1. Get a bed sheets and roll it up. Then tie tape of something around it that wont stick out too much (so not rope) then get a body bag or a bin bag and put it over the top. Then get a box about fit for a 51cm tv then put the end in the box so it doesn't fall over

You can get a military style duffel bag from any Army/Navy Surplus store and fill it with medium density foam.  You can find the foam at JoAnn's or a similar fabric store.  So it doesn't shift down to the bottom, you are probably better off getting the flat kind and rolling it up, cutting it to the correct height and then sticking it in the duffel bag.

  3. its best to actually buy a tacklebag as they are made to requirements for each age group and a home made one made froma  sports bag and some foam just wont compare. ring up local rugby clubs and ask if they have a second hand tackle bag you could have or buy cheaply from them. trawl the internet, local wheelers and dealers etc. good luck.
