In rugby I know that if you hit the ground you HAVE to let go of the ball. But what I don't get is why the h**l does everyone jump on you? Please explain in as much of detail as possible, I have only recently got interested in rugby.

  2. They don't jump onto you, they are trying to ruck over the ball- pushing forward, moving the other team out of the way so they can get possession. You may get stood on sometimes so protect your face and head with your hands once you have released the ball. If they are just jumping straight onto you and not pushing, they are doing something wrong.

  3. Yup you get jumped on and they tried to get a turn over ball by ripping it out of your hands.  However you place the ball behind you and the opposing team cant go offside and get it.  So your scrum half grabs it and throws a long pass to Jonny who drop kicks a perfect goal and you WIN!

    TOMORROW NEVER DIES!!!!!

  4. mucartney you can't use hands in a ruck you mad man!
