Question:

Taco Meat????????

I just made some taco meat (ground beef type) and I realized I put too much salt in it.....I made my own "seasoning packet".

Anything I can do to fix it?????

  1. When i make tacos, i usually add a little of bbq sauce.  It is very tasty and takes away from the saltness of the meat.

  3. The only thing I can think of is to add more meat to dilute the seasoning. You can refrigerate or freeze the extra taco meat for later.

  4. You could brown up another pound of meat, and mix it in with the overly seasoned meat ... that's what I'd do.

    Or maybe you could turn it into a pot of chili with beans and tomatoes added to cut the salt. A cut-up potato thrown in the pot will absorb a lot of the salt.

  5. add some water and a cubed raw potato... the potato will take out the salt.

    By the way the potato will taste great!

  6. Salt is strong.

    throw it away and go to Taco Bell!!!!
