Taco bell or Del taco?

Which do you prefer? i like taco bell more but del taco's fries are delicious !!!

Unfortunately I've never had Del Taco but i love Taco Bell. Chalupas and Nachos bell grande for life!

Del Taco ...Taco Bell's quality suffered when they stopped cooking their beans in the stores. The beans used to be such a treat..I used to order Pintos n Cheese..Now they are just filler (bad tasting). They now have something called quick prep...made in a commisary and trucked to their stores. Del Taco cooks their beans fresh daily. And they cook the flour tortilla on the grill when they make a buritto, that brings out the flavor even on their Red bean and cheese burrito ( my favorite ) .  I called Taco Bell to complain when they made the change to quick prep beans but they just sent me a form letter and coupons for a free taco. There are a few more Del Taco's now in northern California. The issue with the taste is that most people don't like pinto beans, I was raised eating homemade pinto beans so I know quality. Even the beans in frozen Banquet mexican dinners and Taco Bell's canned Refried Pinto beans sold in supermarkets taste better than their restaurants. It's all greed and profit motivation, unfortunately.I know what changed the quality at Taco Bell....Computers, Yes back in the 60's at Taco Bell they wrote down your order on a wipe off board with a grease pencil and the food was so much better, well computers come along and things get organized a company can track profits better and then they see ways to cut costs and increase profits. Good food now becomes "UNITS" and money is the all important goal. Get back to simple like Del Taco. hasn't anyone noticed how bad a cold flour tortilla tastes at Taco Bell. Back to my upbringing ...at the table in a Mexican home tortillas are served hot and someone from the family warms more throughout dinner.

Young people who only know Taco Bell of today don't know what you missed.

P.S.  There is a small chain called Taco Bravo in the bay area only 2 stores that is like old school Taco Bell larger portions of food and plenty of cheese. More meat and cheese on the tacos. And they just happen to prove my quality theory by the way they take your order....On a wipe off board that they write on with a grease pencil and then erase to write the next order.   The strawberry shakes at Del taco are great ..they have pieces of real strawberry in them! I agree with the goodness of the Taco Bell Chalupas too.

i hate del taco's fries.. but i love the double del burger.. it has the same spread as in-n-out burgers.. it depends on my mood... sometimes taco bell satifies my cravings

Del Taco's nachos and cheese are way bigger than Taco Bell's and their burritos are more filling and even come with red or green chile. I used to like Taco Bell until I decided to try something different.

Del Taco for sure!! Yeah they are mostly in Cali, Nevada or Arizona.
