Tactical Flight Officer?

I have just started my senior year in High School, when I graduate I want to work my way to my dream career as a Tactical Flight Officer. What type of college education should I consider and who should I talk to and what should I do to help prepare me for the position? I do not have a pilots license and would like to fly helicopters (obviously), so what is the best way to get started with that as well. Thank you for your help, it is much appreciated!

I'd check in with a military recruiter.  many of the pilots for the sheriff's department here were trained by the military.

Try to get an appointment to the Naval Academy or the Air Force Academy, ideally.  If not, then get into an Air Force or Naval ROTC program.  Both have excellent TFO programs.  Try to go for some type of scientific major.
