Tadashi Yuba knocks out rookie Carlos Linares cold and wins Japanese middleweight gold – Boxing news
Japanese number four middleweight Tadashi Yuba proved that he is worthy of the Japanese apex middleweight gold when he authoritatively nailed the young surging Carlos Linares in a 10-round bout held at the Korakuen Hall situated in Tokyo, Japan.
The bout was almost one sided as far as fighting experience is concerned, since Yuba has been in a total 48 bouts whereas Carlos just had the experience of taking on 10 opponents. The scenario can also be dubbed as a man and a boy bout in which the man is
teaching the young lad how to take on an opponent.
Yuba is considered as one of the most versatile pugilists in Japan in middleweight division. He has won almost all the accolades and laurels that are being issued by Japanese as well as international official boxing organisations or associations. Since 1996,
the 35-year-old brawler has lost only seven bouts and won a huge 99. The southpaw is famous for his hard knocking punches.
Tadashi has collected 29 of his wins by knocking his opponent out cold, hence securing a knockout percentage of 61.22%. The brawl was seriously a handicap match in the sense that the Venezuelan was in his career’s 11th bout. The orthodox 22-year-old also
possesses a good knockout percentage but he substantially lacked in experience, an aspect that even before the clash commenced foretold that the winner will be none other than Yuba.
The skirmish started and the young raging blood came on Yuba vigorously in the initial rounds but later on when the Japanese sensation became aware of the orthodox’s fighting methodology and analysed the punching combination, it was just a mere instance
when Tadashi leashed his pounding ability.
From the fifth round and onwards until the end of the bout, Yuba furiously bashed the young lad with his powerful rock solid fists so much so that in just the 39th second of the seventh round, Carlos lost his senses and fell on the squared ring floor provoking
the match referee to halt the brawl and give the vacant Japanese middleweight title to Yuba, the rightful owner of the gold.
Yuba now stands at 40 wins in a huge 49 clashes whereas Carlos needs to get some more experience and stands at 9 wins and 2 losses in a total 11 brawls.
