I have some american toad tads and one by one they will bloat up in the belly area and it will turn clear like it is filled with water or air and then when they look like they are about to explode they just die? Does anybody know what this is?

  4. I don't know :S are tadpoles pets? I guess so if you have pet frogs. Hm, do they die? or do they just do what ur describing up there? I'm sure if they always do it it's probably normal... unless they are dying. Maybe see a vet? or better yet go to a pet store, they know small animals and things like tadpoles well, there is usually at least one animal expert working at a pet store.

  5. I think the problem could be one of the following.  Tap H2O has chemicals in it and can kill tp's unless you talke steps to clean it up.  If you have old copper pipes in your house, you may not be able to use that water.  Sand in the bottom of the tank could cause a problem if it is from salt water.  Clean /leach the sand with fresh water or make sure you use river sand.  Finally, tps need oxygen so make sure you have a erator or underwate plants.  Elton -303
