At what belt do you begin to learn most of the high kicks and spinning kicks, and about how many years of training is that equivalent to?

  1. about a green belt

  2. I'm a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  Truth be told, as a white belt you're taught "high kicks"....it's all simply a matter of how flexible you are.  It's not as if we wait until someone has been training for a year before we let them kick "high" (which seems a very relative term to begin with).

As far as spinning kicks go, by the time someone is a green belt (typically a year of training) he or she will be competent with a few spinning kicks, but he or she will probably have begun to start using them/learning them at yellow belt.  Any green belt should have a decent back kick though (spinning side kick).

  3. I was in 2different martial arts styles. And each of them they would teach at a different belt level. Taekwondo I was taught at yellow. Karate white

  4. high kicks as in level of difficulty or height....in my school, i teach the spinning kicks starting at green belt (6th GUP)...approximately 6-8 months of training

  5. when i trained taekwondo, they started teaching high kicks and spinning kicks at white belt.
