  1. im sure you can find a dojo somewhere nearby.

but you can teach yourself from websites bookes videos etc. tae kwon do is pretty simple so you shouldnt have a problem teaching yourself. i found the hardest part of training yourself is motivation.

  2. im sure there will be a town near yours with a studio.

  3. First of all, ignore, Gibby; he seems a bit bitter and confused.

Secondly, NO, there is no possible way to teach yourself Tae Kwon Do legitimately. you can study different techniques, and MIMIC Tae Kwon Do, but you cannot advance without instruction and evaluation by a competent, certified instructor, and in all likelihood, you will learn the technique incorrectly, because there are nuances to techniques and stances that you simply cannot pick up out of a book or off of a video. You CAN, however, continue to train and practice what you have already learned, so that if you ARE able to find a Tae Kwon Do dojang near where you move, you can continue your training where you left off without much difficulty. And, you may find a martial arts dojo near you that is NOT Tae Kwon Do, but is something you are equally interested in, and you can continue training there.

You may ask your instructor if he knows of any instructors in the area you are moving to, and if not, for any suggestions on what he thinks you might pursue and enjoy. You can also ask him for a letter stating the level of training you have achieved to give to your new instructor, in the event that the school is willing to accept your current belt level in their program (some do, some don't).

The most important thing is, don't give up! You state that you love Tae Kwon Do, which indicates that you have a penchant for martial arts, and you will likely fit into any style you choose. So good luck in your training and your search!!

  4. Tk isn't the best art to learn by yourself, as you need someone who know how to kick to teach you the proper techniques, you could look like your copying the video exactly but it not likely.

  5. youtube..its how i help myself so im sure it would work 4 u...or u could switch over to different martial arts...but TKD is the best (MY OPINION)

  6. Youtubeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee or instructional sites. Don't forget to work out and stretch
