Tag Team Match - Dashing Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre vs. Christian and Matt Hardy
It was an interesting tag team match on Friday Night Smack Down as all four participants of the fight had fought to retrieve the prestigious briefcase in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match which included a guaranteed title shot against the World Heavy Weight Champion. However, all these wrestling superstars felt short of retrieving the briefcase. It was the Scottish wrestling superstar, Drew McIntyre who teamed up with Dashing Cody Rhodes to fight the veteran tag team of Matt Hardy and Christian.
This match was a chance for these wrestlers to show case their talents and prove it to the world that they have what it takes to fight for the World Heavy Weight Champion. It was initially Drew McIntyre who started the match against Matt Hardy while their partners waited outside the ring. Matt Hardy cornered Drew McIntyre and delivered some heavy blows to his face. It seemed that Matt Hardy was in revenge mode and was looking to beat the h**l out of Drew McIntyre. Matt Hardy then tagged in his tag team partner, Christian to inflict more pain and punishment on Drew McIntyre.
Christian trapped Drew McIntyre in a vicious head lock and rolled him all over the ring. Drew McIntyre tried his best to roll out of the head lock but the grip of Christian was too hard for him. Christian them climbed the second turn buckle and executed a stylish missile drop kick to the face of Drew McIntyre. Drew McIntyre was being used as a punching bag for Christian and Matt Hardy and he desperately needed to make a tag to Dashing Cody Rhodes.
Dashing Cody Rhodes received the tag and immediately entered the ring to deliver some hard core punches to the face of Christian. The momentum of the match suddenly shifted in the favor of Dashing Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre. But then Dashing Cody Rhodes suffered from the same fate as Christian as Matt Hardy frequently tagged each other to keep a fresh person in the ring and beat Dashing Cody Rhodes.
Then the sinister Scotsman, Drew McIntyre came into the scene and immediately kicked the skull of Matt Hardy. Matt Hardy replied the attack of Drew McIntyre by tossing him high in the air and then dropping his body outside the ring on the concrete floor. It was a catastrophe for Drew McIntyre as he screamed in pain and anguish. Matt Hardy and Drew McIntyre were the legal man in the ring but Christian and Dashing Cody Rhodes immediately stepped in to help their partners. All four wrestlers fought with each other like wild animals and all efforts by the referee trying to bring calm in the ring brought no result.
It was chaos every where in the ring and everyone was disregarding the rules of professional wrestling. Matt Hardy grabbed Dashing Cody Rhodes and executed the “Side Effect” to slam his back on the ring floor. Matt Hardy stood up and tried to gather his strength so that he could finish the game by going after Drew McIntyre who was the legal man in the ring. But before Matt Hardy could face Drew McIntyre, Drew kicked the face of Matt Hardy with all his power. From the sound of impact, one could predict that it was over. The kick was so hard that Matt Hardy felt on the ring floor and went in to an unconscious state. It was all over as Drew McIntyre went for the cover and the referee started counting to three with both shoulders of Matt Hardy touching the ring floor.
It will be big news for the professional wrestling world if Drew McIntyre and Dashing Cody Rhodes could unite their forces and establish a permanent tag team to fight against the threat of Christian and Matt Hardy. Keep your fingers crossed as Smack Down witnesses more action in and outside the ring.
