Tahir Khan: Manny will knock out Bradley – Boxing News
Uncle and chief adviser of Former WBA and IBF unified super lightweight champion believes Manny Pacquiao will knockout Timothy Bradley sooner than Bradley can expect. According to Khan, the Filipino WBO welterweight champion has enough power and skills to
knockout a fighter like Bradley. Khan believes that even though Bradley has remained unbeaten, he does not have enough punching power to take down a fighter like Pacquiao.
Manny Pacquiao will have his WBO welterweight title on the line on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against the unbeaten American fighter Timothy Bradley. On the other hand, Amir Khan, Tahir’s nephew, is heading towards his rematch against Lamont Peterson
on May 19 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Tahir said, “Amir learned a lot from the first fight and he will be looking at his mistakes very carefully and making sure he doesn’t make them again, most importantly, he learned a lot more about Peterson and what he can and can’t do. Manny will knock out
Bradley. Bradley is rough and dirty but hasn’t really got any power to trouble Manny. Manny will catch Bradley coming in and will be too fast and strong for him. It will be very similar to the (Ricky) Hatton fight.”
Bradley has already been rated as 3-1 underdog for the fight. While Manny will have title on the line, Bradley will have his undefeated streak on the line against Pacquiao. Most analysts are hoping that Pacquiao will knockout Bradley since it has been a
long time the Filipino has not knocked out his opponent. Even Pacquiao’s trainer, Freddie Roach claimed earlier that his fighter will win against Bradley through knockout.
As of now, Pacquiao is busy sparring for the fight against a Russian former pugilist who has the same fighting style as of Bradley. Roach handpicked the pugilist believing that Pacquiao needs to be trained against the tactics Bradley will bring in. Bradley
has a rough style and he uses his head a lot, which can be a problem for Manny Pacquiao if he is not trained for it.
