the taj mahal is one of the "new 7 wonders", so i would pick it .  but once you've seen it, you've seen it.  so maybe you should do a little research. see what else there is to do in agra, india or how close it is to other major cities.  compare it to whatever city in mexico you're thinking about visiting. then make your decision.  

although, choosing between visiting the taj or going to one of the vast numbers of mexican resorts...i'd say go see the taj.  mexico is a hop, skip & a jump from anywhere in the usa.  make it your next vacation destination.
