Tai Tzu Ying demolishes Desi Hara in Women’s Singles quarter-final at Chinese Taipei Open
Chinese Taipei’s top shuttler Tai Tzu Ying proved her mettle on court as she reached into Women’s Singles semi-final after crushing Indonesia’s Desi Hera in quarter-final contest at Chinese Taipei Open Grand Prix Gold 2012 in Chinese Taipei, on Friday, October
5.
The in-form local shuttler Tzu Ying, who is seeded at number one in Women’s Singles main draw of the championship, worked really hard and managed to end up the quarter-final contest in a completely authoritative manner.
Tzu Ying remained in top form throughout the tournament and she performed in the similar fashion against Hera and ousted her in straight games by taking the court time for 33 minutes.
On the other hand, the seventh seeded Hera gave a superb fight in the opening set but failed to control the pace in the ending points and lost the set.
However, Indonesian shuttler could not put up strong show in the second set and crashed out without creating a considerable impact.
The first game was absolutely thrilling when both ladies kept the crowd engaging by putting up strong show of fast and aggressive badminton and managed to stay close on score board until the end of first half.
After the mid-game interval, both ladies continued showing their tremendous craft and did not let each other to dominate the pace of rallies at any stage.
In the ending points, Tzu Ying showed her brilliance and remained successful in taking the first game with a 24-22 score on the board.
In the following set of this interesting contest, it was Tzu Ying who did not let her Indonesian opponent to show up strong character by playing aggressive badminton and managed to establish a remarkable lead until the one-minute break.
After the mid-game interval, Tzu Ying stayed miles ahead on score board while remaining focused on court and she remained successful in taking the second game with a tremendous score of 21-10.
The in-form Tzu Ying easily secured her place at the top-four stage by finishing up the quarter-final contest in straight sets with a decent 24-22 and 21-10 margin on the board.
