Any experts out there know about the success of losing weight through Tai Chi?

While there are different types of tai chi, the one most frequently taught in the US in the "yang" form.  According to the charts (see the links below) if you weigh 150 lbs, tai chi will burn a little over 280 calories an hour.  Which is about the same a table tennis or treading water at a moderate pace.

    For comparison, a McDonald's cheeseburger has 300 calories in it, so it would take a little over an hour of Tai Chi to burn that off.
