I will be 39 weeks on wednesday and lately it feels like my baby is sitting in my butt instead of my tummy....is this normal for 39 weeks? My lower tummy is also soooo sore that i can barely walk and i have a pretty high tolerance for pain. My contractions seem to also be more and more painful but their not consistent. They last anywhere from 1 minute up to 3 minutes but their still far apart. Is tailbone pain one of the symptoms you get before you go into labor? I've heard people describe pushing the baby out as having to take a big p**p but this is just a very sore feeling. Im really hoping this baby will come soon because i dont know how much more of this i can take. Even doing normal things is way more complicated then it needs to be

  1. A woman's tail bone, or coccyx, is hinged and when the baby is getting close to delivering the coccyx will "swing" away(outward) in order to make room.

Both my boys were delivered naturally and with no pain killers. My wife was a real champ. But, she had this same complaint with our first child; not so much the second.

I think your about ready to "pop". Good luck!
