Tait out of cricket for two months
Australian fast bowler, Shaun Tait has been again diagnosed with an elbow injury due to which he will be out of action for a period of two months. This means that Tait will not play in the ODIs against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758
as well as the domestic one-day competition that his first class side, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Australia-c844 will be involved in.

Tait had a surgery to his elbow and that means that he will not play in any form of competitive cricket till the month of December this year. This also means that there will be question-marks over his participation in the World Cup of 2011, for which the Australians
will announce their squad by the end of December.

According to Cricket Australia’s doctor, Trefor James, Tait had the surgery on Friday after his elbow continued to trouble him in recent times. James also added, “His return to cricket will be determined by the speed of his recovery from surgery.” He confirmed
that the pace bowler is out of the team for at least a couple of months.

Tait is one of the very few bowlers in the contemporary cricket world who can bowl at more than 150 km/hr. However, with such pace, the injury issues have always haunted the South Australian and as a result of that, he has been in and out of the side.

He had also once announced his retirement due to what he described as mental exhaustion but on his comeback, played well to regain his spot in the Australian team. In the 2007 edition of the World Cup, he bowled well to claim the second-highest number of wickets
and bowled excellently in the 2010 ICC World T20 as well.

Tait’s bowling was one of the reasons why South Australian Redbacks got into the semi-finals of the Champions League T20.
