Takanyi Garanganga and Nicolas Meister in the second qualifying round – Tiburon Challenger 2012 CH

Takanyi Garanganga prevails over Zeke Hindle 6-2, 6-2
Ranked 460th in the ATP World Tour Rankings, Takanyi Garanganga, gave a remarkable straight sets defeat to his American challenger, Zeke Hindle, at the first qualifying round of the First Republic Bank Tiburon Challenger,
United States. The Zimbabwean contender jolted down a 6-2, 6-2 triumph on Saturday.
The American senior was unable to preserve his initial serve in the opener, showing that he was out of practice for the ATP Challenger. Garanganga keenly took note of the opportunity and secured the initial three games, stamping
a 3-0 lead. However, Hindle broke his rival’s serve in the fourth game but he was unable to drag him back. The Zimbabwean native took a flying start to the end and successively securing all the games, terminating the set with a 6-2 score.
The second set, followed the similar format as the 26-year-old local competitor stabilized his game and brought the score line to 2-1. Garanganga took note of his rival’s improved pace and immediately evened out the scores to 2-all
in the subsequent game. He cashed his opponent’s serve twice i.e. in the fifth and seventh game, slowly knocking Hindle down. He proved unstoppable and packed up the set with a 6-2 win.
Nicolas Meister beats Blake Emery 6-1, 6-1
American veteran, Blake Emery, received a straight sets defeat, 1-6, 1-6, by the hands of his fellow citizen, Nicolas Meister, in initial qualifier on the eve of Saturday in nearly one hour.
Meister took a remarkable start of the opener and clinched the initial two games, stamping his 2-0 lead. The 42-year-old, Emery, proved totally inactive, rival showed no respect at all to his senior and swiftly glided to clobber
all the games. He committed double faults several times and his age severed to his disadvantage. Meister sneaked all his challenger’s serves and beautifully concluded the opening set with a bread stick.
There was no stopping for the 22-year-old Meister in the sequent set. Like before, he bagged away the first three games. He did not allow his rival to hold his serve even one time and confidently wrapped up the match with a 6-1
win.
