The Japanese midfielder is eager to prove himself in the Bundesliga and is confident that Hoffenheim can finish in the top six.
Hoffenheim secured a one-year loan move for the player earlier this summer and are willing to give the Japanese Under-22 international another chance in the Bundesliga. Usami spent the last season with Bayern Munich but he managed
to make only three league appearances for Jupp Heynckes’ side.

Usami is excited ahead of the start of the new season and is looking forward to proving his mettle with his new club. The player admitted that he was not given enough playing time to show what he is capable of at Bayern Munich
but is eager to achieve with Hoffenheim.
The midfielder has set the target of qualifying for the UEFA Europa League at the end of next term and is willing to repay Markus Babbel’s confidence with an impressive showing. He added that the manager has full faith in his capability
and wants him to do well.
“I will help ensure that we achieve our goal: the Europa League. I want to be a first team regular; I need to work for that. I feel that Markus Babbel relies on me. He likes my style of play, and he sees me playing on the left,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the Japanese Under-22 international revealed that he will be taking part in the London Olympic Games with his national side. There were reports that after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xherdan-Shaqiri-c37074 and Granit Xhaka refused to take part
in the Olympics; Usami has also decided to back out.
However, the player is keen to represent his country and has stressed that it would not affect his place in the starting XI.
“I am looking forward to playing at the Olympic Games. A disadvantage in the race for a starting place? I do not think so,” he concluded.
