Question:

Take Care of a Baby Mouse?

My brother found a wild mouse. We think it is a baby because it is very small, even though it has fur. It is very friendly and wants to crawl all over our hands and go to sleep there. If we try to put it down, it crawls back up. Our mom won't let us keep it as a pet, so we want to save it, then release it. How can we do this?

  1. That is the same thing that is happening to me!

I found a wild baby mouse he has fur and walks and loves to sleep on my hands, but my mom will let me keep it. It is really hard to set a mouse free once you've brought into your house and handled it. Maybe find someone to keep the little fella, he already sounds like he can't be brought back to the wild.

    Good luck!

  2. Put it in a cage with a boa, it will solve all your problems in no time

  3. Just Look At A Website On Google,, Type In Baby Mouse Care =D Thats What I Have Been Doing With My Baby Mouse And He Is Very Healthyyy =D These Sites Are Very Helpful With Information,,

  4. Well its not good because u will tame it to be with humans because then it wont be good in the wild. Sum body tamed a squrl like that and we found it injured because itwasnt good in the wild. And we had to bring it somewhere out of the contact of humans.

  5. Go to a vet... They can maintain it's health and release it safe.. :]]

    Aw that sounds too cute.

  6. I've always wanted a baby mouse.AWWWWWWW!will u please let me have it.my e-mail is shiasgurl@yahoo.com.Please,i will take good care of it!my name is jada.

  7. If its a baby, it will need milk, kitten milk is the best, but under the circumstances normal milk will be just fine.

Put the milk into the cracks in your hand, and let the mouse l**k it off.

If your mum wont let you keep it in the house - maybe you can keep it outside?

If you have a container, like an ice cream cartton or something, and fill it with ripped up pieces of toilet paper and straw, or anything like that that provides warmth, then that would be perfect. Leave it somewhere that is sheltered from the rain, and other animals.

Feed it milk at least three times a day, although every few hours would be better. After a couple of days, or whenever you feel it is strong enough, release it into a bushy area.

    GOOD LUCK!!!

  8. IF you keep it and feed it and handle it and then release it, it will get killed.  It wont know how to protect itself and will get eaten by a bigger predator.  Call a wildlife rescue in your area.
