Take a look at your average fifth graders. Do you see an inquiring mind or a religious zealot?

How did they become so fanatical for the global warming cause when one leading weather specialist after another, some who have headed major research teams at reknown universities, expresses skepticism? Is global warming etiquette that much easier to teach than math and science when being a cute celebrity with the right cause will lead to elevation to sainthood?

Now our children’s reaction to this is that we are killing them. No one teaches them that some of us doesn’t see this a threat like starvation, sickness and disease, unsustainable population growth and billions living in abject poverty not to mention the food crisis, the water crisis, the energy crisis, war, terrorism, and real, honest-to-goodness poison in our air, food and water, no matter what its temperature.

Do they need to learn the victimhood card in the fifth grade? Why say we are trying to kill them? Are heretics OK to burn yet considering its OK to starve people in the name of energy conservation?

  1. yes

  2. It is interesting how when they lack an argument that stands up to analysis, or an authoritative source to support their beliefs, the skeptical deniers become the defenders of the children.  Are there no more flags to wrap yourselves in?

  3. Very good question, I have to say.  The answer is simple, school today ceases to be about education and more about indoctrination.  And everywhere else you look, ie. the media or in politics, it's there.  It's a popular subject.  The vast majority of teachers are very liberal and tend to promote their ideas in the classroom as fact and if the kids don't buy into them, they're either bad people or they're going to die.  Basically painting doom and gloom pictures for kids.  And yes it's true, these things do happen.  I've had friends tell me their kids are subject to this propaganda at their own schools, so it does happen.  Personally, I believe we should teach the other side as fact either (even though it's what I believe).  I think the whole point of school is to teach the facts about what we do know, and teach kids how to make educated, logical decisions.  It's just a very exhausting fight because it seems like it's always uphill.

  5. Exactly - My kid finds it hard to sleep at night.  He is constantly worrying about the perils of "Global Warming".

The public schools are turning into an institution Joseph Goebbels would be proud of.  This is why I moved my child into a private school.

They teach real science in private schools, science where the results are objective, not subjective depending on the interpretation of the reading of the entrails.

  6. Exactly, It's a crime what's being taught in school these days. They basicly sank their teeth into a "Theory" and are preaching it as if it's a fact.

  7. Maybe you need to take some 5th grade classes.

  8. I imagine you would have them taught about your imaginary friend who lives in the clouds instead?
