Question:

Take a picture of the three of us - ideas?

So I've decided that since I really have NO pictures with my kids, that for Father's Day I will give my husband a picture of my kids and I taken at a studio.

However, I only have Saturday to do it as he's gone for the day.

And...now I'm seriously doubting my decision.

My kids are 3 years and 9 months, and taking a picture of the two of them is amazingly complicated for TWO adults. I can't imagine just one.

Next, no one is available to help out - no friends in the area, all family is busy until next Christmas. So it's just me.

Any ideas how to help it go smoothly?!

Also, any ideas of the best place to get it done?

We can't go to a professional, though I would love to. We have a GREAT photographer who unfortunately doesn't have open appointments until next month.

There's also the second tier - cheaper - Picture People, Picture Place, Portrait Innovations, etc.

Then there's the third tier - cheapest and usually looks it - Target, Walmart, Sears, Penneys

  1. Hmm, You know what might be a nifty idea? Buy ( Or make, whatever you prefer ) A really nice frame, and inside it, have a nicley typed or written promise note, or "Date" Written in it where you, your kids, and your husband can all get a picture taken as a FAMILY. ( Much better than feeling left out of a family picture anyways )

Maybe throw in a nice tie to wear in the picture or something ^_^

That gives you the extra helping hand, allows you to get the picture taken at a later date when you can lock in your good photographer, and generally allows you to spend time with him and your kids as a family. :)

  2. I agree with the first person, your hubby will probably be happy with a picture no matter where it was taken. Here is a cheap and fun way to do it yourself. Put a sheet over your couch, pop in the 3 year olds favorite DVD and set the camera up on top of the TV. Set the camera to snap a photo and run to the couch holding the infant! Sounds a little crazy but it could be a fun creative thing to do!  The 3 year old will be looking in the direction of the TV and you just smile and pray for the baby to cooperate!  Good luck and have fun!

  3. don,t worry .......

    take a long breath ..

solution will come to u automatically..

my son , god helps those ,who helps themselves...!

  4. I think your husband will be thrilled to get the picture no matter where you get it done.
