is there anythng you can download to take videos of your computer screen that is free??

yes indeed. Use Cam Studio. It's free you can even save your video in different formats. The download button is under the section that reads "Useful Links".

PS. you may want to get a codecs package like "ace mega codecs" so that you can have some extra file compression options, because when you record videos from your computer, it will be a really big file if you don't use the right compressor. I suggest the "divx fast motion" compressor if you download "ace"
