i want to reapply to a school i got rejected to last year but have to wait a year because they only accept people in the fall. if i work that year and not go to school. when i apply i would still be a freshman. what are my chances of getting accepted? are they lessened by me having taken that year off school?

  1. Take the year off! Some schools are encouraging this break from education, really !

Just show a good consistent form of entertaining your active role is trying acceptance!

If you feel like u need to take the break GO FOR IT !!

Good luck. enjoy your life and live to it;;s fullest !!

  2. You can always go to a junior college and then after that go to the university. Get good grades in your junior college and that will help alot.

  3. It would be a better idea, academically, to go to a local community college and get straight As. That would give you a better chance to get in.

    Edit:

Doing very well at a CC will probably make it easier. Why postpone school? A minimum wage job (I'm guessing) for a year will make you what? Maybe 20,000? Wow. Why push back school for a year? And you wouldn't enter as a junior, you'd be a sophomore. Also, even if you enter as a freshman you'd still be a year older. What's the difference?

    Edit:

You'll still be able to get in somewhere. A local state college probably would accept you pretty much no matter what if you could afford it. If you want to go to a university, you'll probably have to go to a CC, for a year, maybe even two, and get straight As throughout.

That's just the way it works. Universities don't just accept people off the street.

  4. If you got rejected from the school last year, I would have applied to a different univerity the same year and wouldn't want to go back to that school.

Oh yeah, I wouldn't recommand a break from college... I mean you'll get spring, winter, and summer break. Although if you really need it, then go ahead.
