Question:

Take dance classes while fat or lose weight first?

Ok, I took ballet, jazz, and tap from when i was 3 until i was 12. I was always a little bigger than the other girls, but after I quit i got more chubby. haha

Then in my junior year of high school I joined my school's winterguard team (dance, flag, rifle, sabre). Lost some weight while in it, but gained it back and lots more by sophmore year of college.

Now I've lost about 30 pounds, (I'm now 213 lbs. w/ a BMI of 38% --- still bad, but getting better)--- btw, i'm only 20yrs. young lol--- useless info, i know!

Anyways, i LOVE to dance!... can't stress how much. and i miss dancing in a class and learning and yada-yada, blah-blah. lol

but do you think i should lose more weight before joining a class or just do it despite my size???

  1. lots of people join dance to lose weight, so don't worry about how you look. everyone else is usually self-concious as well, so don't worry!

    as corny as it sounds, it's what inside that counts...if it matters.

  2. dancing is one of the best ways to lose weight!

    the first is swimming laps really fast-btw

    but if it's something u love u shouldnt give up on it just cause of how much u weigh or if ur self consicious about it

  4. dont worry im a dancer and im 13 and im a bit bigger than most of my dance friends but im losing weight from dancing.

    if anyone says anything to you dont take it to heart ok.

    dont worry what others think just go along and be yourself
