Takemetherelater likely to come first in Standard Trophy (Heat 2)
Takemetherelater is likely to cross the boundary strap first of his five strong competitors in the Heat 2 contest of Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy which will take place at Nottingham track on Monday night, April 16.
The high-stakes Open Race over a distance of 500 meters is scheduled to start at 20:19 (GMT). For the prize money of £125, the A. Stevens-trained black dog looks to be confident enough to show his guts against Lacken Heights, Envy Apple King, Monleek Merc,
Fifis Romeo and Mays Stewart.
The three-year-old veteran runner owns a terrific track record. Since the dawn of 2012, the talented hound has been enjoying great form. After bagging a couple of consecutive triumphs in February, he moved forward to accomplish two victories along with a
runner-up rank during March.
The son of Kinloch Brae out of Emporio Royale is carrying a lot of winning momentum at the moment. If he manages to capitalise well on his capabilities and runs to his utmost, his chances to finish first in the coming contest can be as high as 90 percent.
However, some of the hot favourite hound’s opponents like Fifis Romeo and Monleek Merc can give him enough tough time on the track.
Fifis Romeo achieved a fabulous hat-trick in September 2011. The K. Huntington-trained black dog went on to win two races in a row during October-November. The son of Collision out of Fabulous Lourdes extended his purple patch to 2012 as well, and attained
a conquest along with a runner-up position each in January and February.
Monleek Merc also delivered some impressive performances during the last couple of months. After winning a big race by a big margin of 7 ¼ lengths on February 18, David Pruhs’ black dog moved ahead to seal a 13 ½-length clean victory on March 8. The son
of Kinloch Brae out of Razldazl Pearl again earned a triumph on March 31. He finished 2nd in his last outing on April 6.
In this situation, a heated clash is expected in the Heat. Takemetherelater will have to fight with his back to the wall in order to make his way towards victory convincingly. Good luck to all the contestants.
