I've taken a test and then got what I thought was my period - test was positive, bleeding was from behind my uterus. We're now 23 weeks pregnant so it worked out great (phew!). I guess what I'm trying to say is that you can be pregnant and have a bit of a bleed (even a near period size bleed).

It is most likely a negative if you have your period. But there are some different signs that show it could mean something else, known as implantation bleeding. If the color is different, that could be questionable. And if they flow is way lighter than normal-this could definitely mean something. Wait out the whole period before you take a test and see how the changes go;if it regulates itself.

And, a thought, some girls have their period throughout their whole pregnancy, anything is possible!
