Takeshi Matsuda triumphs Men’s 200m butterfly semi-finals - Tatsumi International Pool, Tokyo
Takeshi Matsuda dominated the semi-finals of Men’s 200m butterfly on day four of the Tatsumi International Pool in Tokyo, Japan on Thursday, April 5.
Matsuda remained significantly ahead of his competitors and earned his way into the final round as the top qualifying swimmer. With his invincible efforts, he faced no trouble in reaching the finishing end for first position.
Matsuda remained dominant for the top finest position as he touched the wall with the timing of 1 minute and 54.19 seconds.
His notable effort remained 1.71 seconds ahead of Hidemasa Sano, who occupied second best position of the discipline by ending his swim in a time of 1 minute and 55.90 seconds.
Sano was chased by Ryusuke Sakata, who remained just 0.10 seconds slower and hit the wall with the timing of 1 minute and 56.00 seconds.
Sakata was trailed by Kazuya Kaneda, who suffered a loss of 0.48 seconds from his former finisher and clocked an effort of 1 minute and 56.48 seconds for fourth position.
The fourth position holder of the event was followed by Kenta Hirai, who remained almost two strokes behind and posted a time of 1 minute and 56.78 seconds.
Moments later, Ryo Tateishi dominated the semi-finals of Men’s 200m breaststroke. Tateishi served notice of his talent and devastated hopes of his opponents by completing his swim in a fastest time of 2 minutes and 09.02 seconds.
Tateishi was chased by Kosuke Kitajima, who elevated his pace in the semi-final and submitted a time of 2 minutes and 09.25 seconds for second position.
The third spot of the event was secured by Akihiro Yamaguchi, who remained almost one second behind and posted a time of 2 minutes and 10.41 seconds.
Kazuki Ohtsuka occupied fourth best qualification spot of the event as he ended his race in a time of 2 minutes and 10.77 seconds.
Yukihiro Takahashi surfaced as the fifth position holder of the discipline as he clocked an effort of 2 minutes and 11.67 seconds.
Furthermore, the session completed after the conclusion of all planned events while the arena appreciated remarkable struggles of all participants in their exclusive events.
