Takin Over A Yahoo Group?

Is there a way to take over a yahoo group? Every since the owner jumped ship meaning she hasn't posed in a long while, is there a way to take it over since it's full of spam? Thanks.

no, not possible, cant be done. 100's and 100's of groups have a MIA owner and groups filled with spam due to that.

all you can do is create another group and invite the members to it
