Hi, I just started my Painting I class & just recently bought all my supplies (I'm using acrylic). My professor said we could start drawing anything we wanted to, but i was wondering what I could start out with that would be really basic (since I've never painted before) but at the same time something not *to* simple - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Pics would be really helpful too! Thanks~ ♥

  1. The classic thing to start with would be a still life.  First, the models don't squirm or move or change expression, and second, they don't get offended if the painting doesn't exactly look like them.

  2. some still life will do, like wine bottles, jugs, pop botles, antiques, a ball, fake grapes or fruit, cowboy hat, boots and just gather all that stuff and put it in the middle or side of you.
