  1. yes start studying from now!!!!

    I know I am!!!

  2. All AP classes are tough and require work. From personal experience, I took both AP Chemistry and AP English and Composition. It was no walk in the park, but it was worth the endeavor. I don't like taking classes that don't challenge you, I don't think anyone belongs in those classes. You should take the class, it will be awesome if you are passionate about Chemistry, and a challenge in general! Plus, it looks so good on you application to universities that require top notch students. My advice, take it, and do not fret, you will do fine. But be sure to have a balance, like with friends, work, extracurricular activities, and family! HAVE FUN, but be serious as well.

    Best Regards.

  3. Here was my schedule and grades and AP scores last year:

AP Calculus AB (B and a 5 on the test)

    Computers/Drawing I (A)

    American History Honors Gifted (B)

AP Psychology (A and a 5 on the test)

AP English Language (B and a 3 on the test)

AP Chemistry (A and a 5 on the test)

In addition to the classes, I was on an all-star cheerleading squad, as well as my school's Varsity cheerleading squad. I would stay after school until 4 and then I had practice everyday from 4:30 to 9. It was hard, but I think I pulled through pretty well this year. It was also very gratifying knowing that I proved everyone who doubted me along road. I was also involved in clubs. I think you'll be fine with AP Chem. It's an awesome class to take and it will definitely benefit you in the long run. It may seem like h**l during the process, but once it's over, you'll look back on it and be thankful you made that decision. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything.

Hope this helps and good luck :)

  4. Studying over the summer would certainly improve your chances of doing well in AP Chem. If you understand the basics and if you already took a full year chemistry class then you'll probably be fine without studying over the summer. If you haven't taken chemistry before then you should learn the basics. I'd be more scared about AP Bio than AP Chem but then again, I'm not really a Bio person. Good luck next year.
