Taking Calc I in college...what calculator should i get?

I am starting Calc I today and need to do physics and engineering classes on top of calculus II and III...do i need to get a Texas Instruments II-83 calculator? or would a cheaper brand or type work??

  1. 1.  Check the requirements.

    2.  If there are no requirements, get a TI-89--it should come in handy for  this and your future classes.  If you want to save money, a TI-83 will suffice, but TI-89 definitely has some awesome features.


  2. Check out the requirements for all of the classes to find out which calculator(s) you are going to need.

    You can probably check that out online to see about your physics and engineering classes, I am assuming that you will be taking them in the future.
